Biography

Peju Alatise (b. 1975, Nigeria) is a contemporary artist living and working in Lagos, Nigeria. Alatise is a mixed-medium artist with a degree in architecture and is also a skilled poet and published author. her work addresses social, political and gender issues as subject matters. Alatise has held several solo exhibitions and her works are in private and institutional collections around the world. in 2017 she represented Nigeria at the Venice Biennale.
